Concrete Poker Table and Chips

This is how the world's first all concrete poker table was built.  Today's craftsmen would do a much better job in probably half the time. But hope this is at the very least a little interesting.  SEE IMAGES HOW IT WAS DONE»

School Floor Acid Stained

This 17,000ft sq + project was done on a tilt up school building.  The floor was ground to 80 grit to clean and remove any sealers, stains and release agents.  The pattern was laid out and then cut into the surface with a 1/8th inch diamond saw.  After masking the areas the floor was acid stained.  Cleaning was done carefully as to not bleed the colors together.  After the entire surface was dry a two component epoxy was used to seal the surface and then a wax maintenance program was initiated.  SEE PROJECT PHOTOS»

Residential Custom Floor Topping

This was a difficult project as the owner did not want to use baseboard. The prep was done very meticulously.  The floor was primed and then resurfaced.  An acid stain was installed and ironite was broadcast onto the surface for a speckled look as per approved samples.  The washdown was done and a solvent matte sealer was used to seal the finish.  A blade was used around the edges to neatly remove the taped wall prep to reveal a clean line.  SEE INSTALLATION PHOTOS»

Residential Custom Floor Topping

Honda Motorcycle Showroom

Honda Motorcycle was resurfaced with an integrally colored self leveling topping and sealed.  The floor had moisture issues to begin with so the floor was sprayed with a moisture proofing sealer.  Then the floor was primed and the layout was performed.  A high density weather stripping tape was used to delineate the colors and stop points.  Once the grey islands were poured the following day the isles were poured.  A water bourne polyurethane was used to seal the floor.   Some tire chemicals were staining the floor therefore a subsequent epoxy was applied to stop this.  SEE INSTALLATION PHOTOS»

Installing a concrete topping over wood

This project used a concrete topping system installed over wood.  The surface of the wood was cleaned and the seams patched.  A metal lathing was then hammer tacked over the entire surface.  A concrete underlayment was poured to cover the metal lath and then once dry was re-primed and the final decoratvive topping was installed.  An integral color was used and a water based acrylic with floor finish was used to finish the job.  SEE INSTALLATION PHOTOS»

Banya Spa

This floor had a lot of different levels so a lot of patching work was required.  Old stock was used to patch, level and smooth out the floor.  Then an integrally colored microtopping was used to resurface and leave a slight texture to the surface for slip resistance.  Also shark grip was added.  Concrete Dyes were surface applied and the floor was sealed with a solvent based acrylic.  SEE INSTALLATION PHOTOS»

Floor Self Level and Countertop

This floor was resurfaced with a self level cement. While it was being placed, clean play sand was broadcast onto its surface to make it look like it had been polished, exposing fine aggregate.  The floor was sealed with APF 700 Polyurethane.  The wall was trowled with a grey feather finish patch material and sealed with the same material as the floor.  SEE INSTALLATION IMAGES»
