New Western Division Manager for L.M. Scofield Company

L. M. Scofield Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Clark Branum has accepted a position with Scofield as Western Division Manager - Training and Technical Support effective February 4, 2008.Clark has more than 26 years' experience in the concrete industry, starting with entry-level curb and sidewalk finishing in Seattle area as well as commercial project work in Alaska and Washington for most of the 1980’s.

Clark got involved with decorative concrete in 1990 as the use of textured and colored architectural concrete was beginning to become popular in the Seattle market. In the mid 1990’s he went to work with Greater Seattle Concrete, where he worked as a Superintendent, Project Manager and Estimator, managing as many as 45 to 50 decorative projects per year, with an emphasis on overlay materials, staining and stamping.

Clark has spent the last 5 years as the Director of Technical Services for Brickform where he was responsible for developing and conducting their contractor and distributor training programs and demonstrations including those in the international markets. He was also involved in new products, development of technical specifications and technical support.

Currently on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Concrete Contractor's Decorative Concrete Council (ASCC), Clark helps in developing position statements with other industry experts, including the American Concrete Institute. These position papers are written by experts in the industry to offer logistic support to contractors. He also is currently serving on two ACI Committees, 601-D New Certification for Decorative Concrete Finishers and C-310 Design & Construction Practices Decorative concrete.
