The first thing to do is to choose a test patch and attempt to clean a small inconspicuous area.  Often times the exposed aggregate captures dirt and grime or moss (in damp locations) and should be softened with a light degreaser or cleaner.

  • Step 1 – Saturate the surface with a cleaner leaving it to absorb into the concrete.
  • Step 2 – While the surface remains wet, scrub the surface with a stiff-bristled broom to agitate and help the cleaner penetrate and loosen the dirt.
  • Step 3 – Use a hose with a nozzle or ideally a high power pressure washer to sequentially move from the high end of the concrete slab to the lower drain area.
  • Step 4 – Let dry
