Pete Horkley’s business motto is simple “Don’t replace it. Restore it.” And, that’s just what Elite Concrete Innovation has done and continues to do to build strong customers relationships and to ensure customer satisfaction.
Horkley, who opened Elite Concrete Innovations in 2008, worked for another decorative concrete contractor for several years when that contractor went to work for an industry manufacturer. Horkley saw his chance to make his own mark in decorative concrete and launched Elite Concrete Innovations.
“I like the creativity part of decorative concrete,” Horkley says. “Customers, especially on the residential end, are normally blown away when they see the final results. Most people are kind of skeptical when they first hire you, picturing concrete being grey. But, then you do something cool, and they’re excited with what you’ve done.”
Elite Concrete Innovations, which provides both interior and exterior concrete designs, works with both residential and commercial clients, such as local school districts and restaurants.
Horkley offers a full range of decorative concrete products, including concrete overlays, repair and resurfacing systems, colored concrete, concrete patios, and concrete driveways.
“We provide concrete maintenance as far as sealing and cleaning,” Horkley says. “We also do non-skid surfaces for pool decks.”
Elite Concrete Innovations, which uses EliteCrete Systems, offers a warranty program for those clients who sign up for a maintenance schedule. The warranty for those on a maintenance schedule is generally for four or five years. Otherwise, if the product is not properly maintained and Horkley much inspect and reseal it, the customer will be charged.
If the customer properly maintains their decorative concrete, according to Horkley, the product can last for ten years or even longer.
Horkley currently secures the majority of his business via word of mouth and through the Internet. Elite Concrete Innovations will also be featured in the Yellow Pages next year.
Because his goal is to provide high quality work at an affordable price, Elite Concrete Innovations offers discounts to schools, churches, and current and former military members.
Elite Concrete Innovations also offers a referral program for customers. Each customer who refers business to Elite Concrete Innovations will receive a gift, such as a gift certificate to an area restaurant.
With headquarters in Eagle, Idaho, Elite Crete Innovations serves all of Idaho, the Treasure Valley, and cities including Ashton, Blackfoot, Boise, Cadwell, Idaho Falls, Jerome, Kellogg, Lewiston, McCall, Nampa, and Sun Valley.
