When the sun is out and the temperature is hitting 90 degrees plus, there is nothing more refreshing than a cool dip in the pool. It's the getting in and out, though, that can be a sizzling situation if your pool deck is too hot.
Although any material that is in the sun will heat up, there are some products that are better at staying cooler in the sun.
Polymer based resurfacing systems and sprayed systems are generally considered "cool deck" options. The polymer and spray pattern keeps the heat from getting trapped, and remains much cooler than standard concrete.
It is important to use a light color, as dark colors attract the sun and heat.
