Repairing a crack in concrete:
These are steps in fixing cracked concrete.
Step 1:
Open the crack a minimum of 1/4" inch wide by 1/4" inch deep with a crack chaser diamond blade and angle grinder or skill saw. Make sure to remove loose or spalled concrete pieces and vacuum clean.
Step 2:
Fill the crack with silica sand to prevent the filler from disappearing beneath the crack as well for additional strength.
Step 3:
Mix the epoxy or polyurethane filler material
Step 4:
inject or pour the filler material into the crack and let it settle, top up any sagging areas or add more sand if necessary.
Step 5:
Sand, scrape or grind off excess material to leave a smooth finish.
