Providing high quality craftsmanship on every project is the motto by which Concrete Options, headed by owner Craig Heidinger, is run. And, that motto has helped ensure Concrete Options, which works with clients throughout Florida, has become a top decorative concrete company.

Concrete Options, which provides both interior and exterior concrete designs, offers a full range of decorative concrete products, including concrete countertops and accessories, acid staining, stamped concrete, overlays, epoxies and coatings, concrete patios, concrete driveways, concrete walkways, pool decks, commercial flooring, and custom interior flooring.

A factory authorized installer of Elite Crete’s products, Concrete Options works closely with clients throughout the entire process, from planning the project to the project’s completion. After determining the clients’ needs, Heidinger and his team begin the actual project, starting with preparing the surface for the decorative concrete.

Surface preparation may include pressure washing the concrete, repairing any cracks, neutralizing the concrete, and rinsing the concrete.

Once the surface has been properly prepared for the decorative concrete, Heidinger begins the process of installing the base products. For example, “For spray down projects, we install a skim coat of Thin-Finish, apply stencil or hand taped pattern, and then a texture coat of Thin-Finish applied with a hopper gun,” Heidinger says. “For thin-stamp overlay projects, we install a skim coat of Thin-Finish, a bond coat of Thin-Finish, and then a quarter inch think coat of Texture-Pave. We then stamp the Texture-Pave.”

After the base materials have been installed, Concrete Options adds the finishing touch with the water-based stain Ultra-Stone, which helps to give the concrete a translucent look.

The final step of Concrete Options’ process is to seal the decorative concrete before again meeting with the clients. During the meeting, Heidinger or one of his team will discuss the best way to properly maintain the decorative concrete, so that it will last for years.
