For Paul Carter, decorative concrete offered him the ideal career: It allowed him to start his own business and to work outside, something he has always enjoyed.
As a result, he opened Concrete Finish Solutions, which caters to residential clients, in 2005. Offering both interior and exterior concrete designs, Concrete Finish Solutions provides a full line of products, including acid staining, epoxy coatings, and acrylic overlays.
Each of the systems that Carter installs offer specific benefits, such as being resistant to oil, salt, gas, and thaw. But, even with those benefits, it’s important for clients to properly maintain their decorative concrete.
“We give a two year warranty with proper care and reseals should last between 10 and 15 years,” Carter, who secures the majority of his work through word of mouth, says. 
Since Concrete Finish Solutions first opened, Carter has undertaken countless projects. But, one stands out in his mind as the best to date.
“We did a little enclosed porch stamp overlay in Morristown. The clients were so please with it and so appreciative of it,” Carter says.
