  What is restoration?

  Natural stone looks and feels beautiful, creating a luxurious finish to your home or building. Unfortunately natural stone like marble, limestone, travertine, etc. can loose it's appearance due to wear and tear. Problems like scratching, staining, incorrect cleaning all contribute to natural stone looking dull and worn.

  With the correct restoration process natural stone can be restored to its original beauty.

  The restoration of natural stone involves resurfacing using diamond abrasive technology. Through a series of sanding steps (using water to eliminate dust) we remove all surface scratches, staining and etching. A high quality polishing powder is buffed into the stone to reproduce the natural polish of the stone. Wax or false coatings are never applied. Complete restoration will include power scrubbing of the grout lines. Penetrating sealers are also applied to help protect and maintain the new finish. These sealers do not alter the natural look of the stone.

  At Stone Masters we apply this process to floors, counter tops, walls and showers so that the maximum results are achieved. Simply buffing an existing worn surface will not remove scratches, etching or restore the stone to its original finish.
