The Buddy Rhodes Artisan Concrete name encompasses the materials, molds and training for artistic concrete fabrication, as well as the custom projects Buddy makes at the San Francisco studio, and the national network of independent Buddy Rhodes Artisans trained and authorized to fabricate for customers seeking the Buddy Rhodes style in their region of the world. You Make It
Buddy experimented for years until he developed a mix with sculptural, clay-like properties that is more consistent than other concrete. Seeking to package this mix recipe for his own use as well for other artisans, he created a product system putting together the materials he knew the contractor would need: the mix, the selection of colors his clients loved, sealers, molds, training and technical support. After 25 years of making artistic concrete in his own studio, Buddy's goal is to share his knowledge with those who share his passion for "turning powder into stone."
Buddy offers concrete countertop training monthly at his shop in San Francisco, as well as at those workshops BR qualified trainers lead at product distribution outlets around the country and in Canada. Advanced classes can be attended bi-annually in San Francisco and regularly at Vision Concrete Institute in southern California.
