Placing and finishing a concrete countertop with enCOUNTER

Although concrete countertop mixes like enCOUNTER are designed to be easily mixed and blended they still require some basic preparation before going ahead with the countertop pouring, placing and finishing.

Planning the installation of a concrete countertop for your kitchen can involve more than building a rectangular tray and then filling it with a specialty concrete mix.  A concrete countertop should be supported with rebar or meshing, the forming should take into consideration the sink, faucet, drains and any and all special insets you will be installing. 

The surface or the substrate should be properly prepared and sealed to eliminate any moisture from being drawn out of the concrete mix and the edging style should be determined prior to the pouring.
