Brad Bowman, the founder of the Bomanite Company, known as the father of stamped concrete, was recognized posthumously. The presentations took place during the opening reception of the Concrete Decor Show, February 21, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas.
The 2012 Decorative Concrete Hall of Fame Awards inducted outstanding individuals whose commitment to excellence and innovation have helped make decorative concrete what it is today.
Mike Archambault is an influential installer and educator who has taught decorative and colored concrete techniques to installers around the world. He made the transition into the European market working on the Disneyland Resort Paris and spent three years as the Paris-based consultant to a US manufacturer, L.M. Scofield Company. Early in his career, Archambault served the American Society of Concrete Contractors as a committee and board member during the time he owned Patterned Concrete of Houston and Patterned Concrete Industries. Currently, he is co-owner of two businesses: the Béton Academy, a government-recognized training school and the European manufacturer and distributor, Moderne Methode in Paris, France.

Clark Branum shares his knowledge of decorative concrete products and methods as an international trainer and educator. He became well known through providing distributor and contractor training and support for the Brickform brand and L. M. Scofield Company. Branum helped to develop the curriculum for the Concrete Industry Management Program at California State University in Chico, where he also serves as a lecturer. He sits on two ACI committees and serves on the board of directors of the American Society of Concrete Contractors. Branum is currently the UltraFlor program manager and trainer for Diamatic USA

Joe Nasvik, Senior Editor for Concrete Construction magazine, shares the practical experience and technical expertise he gained during more than thirty years working as an installer, business owner and innovator. He developed several important methods for architectural and decorative concrete still used today. Nasvik was a Bomanite contractor for many years, before joining Hanley Wood in 2000. He has worked tirelessly as the primary driver behind the Artistry in Concrete exhibition at World of Concrete and the architectural guidelines for decorative concrete to be published by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in the near future.

Brad Bowman, the co-founder of Bomanite Corporation was honored posthumously. He is known as the father of stamped concrete. As a contractor in the 1950s, Bowman was installing exposed aggregate concrete walls and slabs in Carmel, California when he began experimenting with ways to add pattern to his work. His first efforts evolved into heavy cast-aluminum platform tools that efficiently imprinted several pattern units at a time. Lighter materials were later substituted. Today textured, patterned stamps have become the industry standard for decorative concrete.
