Concrete needs to be properly protected from potentially damaging traffic, weather and other elements. Sundek offers a full line of concrete sealers to keep your surfaces protected and damage-free for years to come.

EcoClear Polyurethane, one of Sundek’s most popular sealers, is a two component, water-based aliphatic polyurethane that provides an excellent combination of high gloss, hardness, stain resistance and gloss retention under heavy foot traffic. The material cures quickly, allowing light traffic in 4-6 hours, and is highly resistant to yellowing and loss of gloss under UV light. For exterior applications, a special UV absorber package can be added to ensure long term UV resistance. EcoClear Polyurethane is user and environmentally friendly, and is VOC compliant in California. This concrete sealer is ideal for use on walkways, pool decks, balconies, patios, driveways and retaining walls, amongst others.

SunClear UltraProtect is another Sundek product used for maximum protection of your flooring and concrete coating applications. This clear coating produces a protective film that is hard, flexible and impact resistant.  UltraProtect provides ease of maintenance and stain resistance, making it the perfect application for commercial surfaces with heavy foot and vehicular traffic. SunClear UltraProtect is ideal for use on walkways, pool decks, balconies, patios, driveways, retaining walls, service bays, aircraft hangers and other demanding surfaces.

Choosing the Best Sealer for Your Concrete Countertop

ShareThis

There are three main reasons why concrete countertops are so popular in the design world right now: 1) they're durable, 2) they're customizable, 3) they're eco-friendly. But a concrete countertop is only as good as its sealer. How awful would it be if you installed a custom concrete countertop, only to have it poorly sealed, making it susceptible to stains and blemishes...

Since every concrete project is unique, be sure to do some research and choose the best concrete sealer for your specific project. When building countertops, be sure to choose a sealer that will not only resist staining, but also bacteria and chemicals. Also, you'll want to consider what shine level you want for your countertop, as finishes come in dull, matte, satin, semi-gloss, and high-gloss, depending on which product line you choose. If you're uncertain, you might want to consider enrolling in a concrete countertop sealing class or training session to ensure you know what you're doing when it comes to sealing concrete surfaces.
